Citroen's Sebastien Loeb was heading for a repeat of his 2007 Rally Mexico win after establishing a comfortable lead of more than a minute in Saturday's second leg. In a turbulent day of competition on Rally Mexico, Chris Atkinson and Stephane Prevot grabbed second position overall aboard their Subaru Impreza WRC2007. Petter Solberg and Phil Mills however fell foul of the conditions and were forced to retire mid-way through the morning's stages. Defending world champion Sebastien Loeb took charge of the Rally of Mexico on Saturday as his Finnish rivals Jari-Matti Latvala and Mikko Hirvonen fell victim to technical gremlins.
