    I spent this past winter in Baja, Mexico. The price of gas was $2.35 a gallon and diesel was $2.00 a gallon. The Mexican government owns and controls the oil and gas industries in Mexico, and it is called Pemex. All the gas stations are very modern and have full service.

    A small earthquake has struck near the California-Mexico border but there are no reports of damage or injuries. The U.S. Geological Survey reports the quake with a preliminary magnitude of 3.0 struck around 7:00 p.m. Saturday.
